Over-by-over commentary and in-play video clips from the first Test of the three-match series between Pakistan and England in Multan. Watch on Sky Sports Cricket.
“A remarkable partnership and it has been remarkable batting – a stats-fest and milestone-fest, but it’s not a contest between bat and ball.
“Root and Brook are too good in these conditions at the moment. There is absolutely nothing in the pitch foe any of these bowlers.
“Of course it doesn’t help if you drop a dolly [of a catch], like Babar Azam did this morning.
“Root is not the man you want to give that kind of let-off too. He’s going on and has a triple hundred in his sights. It’s just a physical test for him now – he has been on the field for all of eight balls in this match. He must be feeling weary.”
Ramiz: Pakistan need to bat with anger
Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja, speaking to Sky Sports:
“Pakistan need to bat with a bit of anger because they have clearly been embarrassed.
“Take that when you go out there, let England know you are not happy with the situation and look to prove a point.
“Cricket is a team sport, but it’s also an individual sport and there’s a lot at stake for some of these batters.”
